Believe reviews when they say that Yosemite National Park is one of those places that you should visit at least once in your life. You could spend a day or an entire week without running out of things to do. Yosemite is known for granite cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and wonderful views of meadows, valleys, and peaks. People from all over the world, may it be regular tourists or hikers, flock to Yosemite to experience being in the wilderness.
Things to Do
- Do your research before going. There are plenty of family-friendly things to do in the park, suitable for kids and adults of all ages. Check out the family programs such as the Great Yosemite Family Adventure, the Junior Rangers Programs, and Children's Storybook hour.
- Share your love for the outdoors with the kids and participate in other activities such as hiking and camping, birdwatching, biking, and horseback riding. See the famous sights of the Half Dome, North Dome, El Capitan, and the Yosemite Falls. There are trails to match any fitness level. Spend the night at any of the campgrounds because you will undoubtedly need more than a day to explore the park.
Yosemite National Park Insider Tips
- The best time to visit is from May-June to see all the waterfalls in all its glory. However, this season is the most crowded too so call ahead for accommodations and reservations. Avoid the weekend crowd.
- Leave your car in the parking area at the Main Village and use the free shuttle to go around or you can walk too!
