Activity Overview
Spend a weekend with fun-filled activities at the Sportsman Lake Park. The park is located around the Sportsman Lake, a 28-acre body of water home to various wildlife. There's also a playground, small waterpark, and an 18-hole miniature golf course inside the park. Kids also get the chance to feed animals by the lake.
Things to Do
- Bring food and beverage and go for a picnic in the park. The park has plenty of shaded picnic areas to choose from. Bring a blanket so you can also choose to stay on the grass near the lake. Make it a longer stay by pitching a tent at the camping spots.
- Kids will definitely enjoy their time at the large playground and at Splashpad, the park's mini-waterpark. There's also a small, functioning train going around the lake area. Take the kids for a ride, see the entire perimeter of the lake, and spot animals.
- Go to the docks or bring the kids to the shoreline so they can feed the ducks, geese, and fishes. Try out the paddle boats or go fishing.
- You may also go for an easy trek or bike on the shaded 5-mile trail. The park is also a good place to spend some quiet time. Bring a book or watch the sunset by the lake.
