Contrary to the frantic frenzy in amusement parks, Cocoa Beach has a laid-back beach vibe perfect for winding down - it's the perfect way to cap off your Disneyland weekend.
Things to Do
- Tables, chairs, cabanas, and umbrellas are available for rent. Get a bodyboard too so kids can have fun in the water.
- Sign up for a cruise trip. Cocoa Beach is a regular cruise stopover. Find big ships at the cruise terminal.
- Rent a kayak or canoe and paddle out on a calm day. On some seasons, the waves here is ideal for surfing and could be a bit too rough for little kids.
- Cocoa Beach is located on the 'Space Coast' of the country, where spaceflights were launched. Make a trip to the Kennedy Space Centre and take a guided tour with an astronaut.
- Visit Ron Jon's Surf Shop because this branch is the largest surf shop in the world. They have a watersports rental area next door where you can get surf boards, paddle boards, and beach bikes too.
Cocoa Beach Insider Tips
- Lifeguards are present near the pier . If you are taking kids with you, stay in the area where the lifeguards are.
- Shower facilities are available. Park near one so you don't have to walk far to look for restrooms and shower.
- Fixed and metered parking are available. For free parking, park at Ron Jon's.
