Activity Overview
The Centennial Olympic park is a 21 acre green space built for Atlanta's hosting of the 1996 Olympics. It sees millions of visitors every year and offers a range of events. There is a visitor's center, a playground for children of all ages, the world's largest interactive fountain and more.
Things to Do
- There are plenty of events organized during the summer and winter months alike. At noon every Tuesday and Thursday from May until October there is an hour long daytime concert as part of their Music at Noon series. Also during the summer there is a park market held every second and fourth Friday of the warmer months. An ice skating rink is set up to enjoy during the winter to enjoy. As things get colder the park also sets up their Holiday in Lights display which sees thousands of magnificent lights decorating the entire park.
- The Fountain of Rings is a fun place to bring kids to play particularly on a hot day. They are free to run around and play in the water. At four times a day, 12.30 pm, 3.30pm, 6.30 pm and 9 pm, 365 days of the year there are water displays set to music. The area makes a fabulous place for a family photograph too.

- There is free wireless internet access in the Visitor's Center. Volunteers are on hand here to help you with any questions you may have about the park or Atlanta.
- Parking usually costs $10 for the day though this rate can increase during special events or on game days.
